I wanted to create a special friend to join the hens this season: a female mallard with her beautifully patterned brown feathers and a glimpse of iridescent blue on her wing. Hand-painted autumn leaves scatter across the creamy white mug in shades of orange, rust, gold and green, each outlined in shimmering gold lustre. Inside, a soft orange glaze brings the warmth of fall colours to the whole piece.
