The quail families that visit each summer brought a new generation with them this year, round, impossibly tiny “fluff nuggets” trailing behind their parents through the grass. I couldn’t resist making another cup and saucer inspired by these familiar visitors.
In this version, one adventurous chick has wandered between the adults while the rest of the family forages across the saucer and up the handle. Tufts of grass surround them, with ombré green celadon on the cup and warm crystal green across the saucer, echoing the grasses and dry summer ground they wander through.
Cup holds approximately 10oz, saucer is 6.75" diameter.
